Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Career Badger. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Career Badger.

1. About Career Badger

Career Badger is an AI-powered career co-pilot that helps users build, improve, and manage their CVs. The app is operated by Career Badger Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Career Badger. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The app is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

3. Your Account

You may sign in using Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at dale.walden@careerbadger.io.

You may delete your account at any time from within the app via Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use Career Badger only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Upload content that is false, misleading, or defamatory.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy any part of the app or its AI systems.
• Use the app for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
• Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls.

5. AI-Generated Content

Career Badger uses artificial intelligence to help improve your CV. Suggestions are provided for guidance only. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it. We do not guarantee that AI suggestions are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular role. You must not submit content containing confidential information belonging to a third party such as your employer.

6. Intellectual Property

The Career Badger app, brand, and all associated content (excluding your personal CV data) are owned by Career Badger Limited. Your CV content remains yours — we do not claim ownership over personal information and CV content you submit through the app.

7. Third-Party Services

Career Badger uses:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) to power the CV review and chat features.
• Supabase for authentication and data storage.
• Apple/Google for sign-in.

Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Availability

We aim to keep Career Badger available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or restrict access for business or operational reasons.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Career Badger Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated CV content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date will always reflect the most recent revision.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
